aplomb: Self-confident assurance; poise.
I trust that is the meaning our learned friend is referring to .. and not:
French, from Old French a plomb,
perpendicularly : a, according to (from Latin ad-; see ad-) + plomb,
lead weight (from Latin plumbum, lead).
