Robbie Dennison in action at the Molineux this afternoon

Funny, I thought he'd packed in playing MANY years ago....

...just before he signed for us if I remember correctly!

The most memorable moment for me came in an away game at Leek when a bloke standing near me (who shall remain nameless) shouted at Dennison as he sloped off at half-time having been anonymous as we went in 2 down, "give us the keys back to the car you ******" in reference to a car which had been given to the ex-Wolves legend as part of his signing-on fee

It's a good job we fans don't all do the grand tour of local clubs, like these ex-players and managers, isn't it? (well, apart from those who decamped to Chasetwon in search of glory and a better matchday experience.... at least they won't get jostled in a crowd....)

I read recently that Scott Goodwin is the new manager of Irchester (which is near to Rushden I believe).

Snippet in the Sun today-
"Crawley boss Steve Evans has told Fulham and Wigan to forget about signing £1 million-rated hotshot Tyrone Barnett, 26"
I've heard of interest from at least one other (local) Premier League club regarding Ty as well

Yeah, heard that rumour at Willenhall.

Glad we've learned our lesson about getting our best players on contract....

The "much-travelled" Doryl Proffitt has a new club

http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/inde ... &nid=80019

Curious, I know at least one of our fans rated him...

I blame the purple boots myself for his failure to reach his potential...

I see our old friend, James Ellison, could be up against us tomorrow evening. He didn't do much for us, so lets hope he continues that trend.

For those who do not read the Daily Express an interview in Saturdays edition with Ashley Williams, he gives Hednesford a mention at end of the interview.

Two more goals for Tyrone Barnett yesterday for Crawley Town against Oxford United http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/match/23974 - his £million price tag keeps increasing!
Ty and Matt Tubbs have struck up a brilliant striking partnership - possible consecutive promotion for Crawley Town?
