If you are referring to this part of the new Owners statement:

I have to disagree with that, even though Val and formerly Dave have worked hard and performed miracles over the years it is not really fit for purpose. It was built with little or no drainage on a fly ash base which retains water and doesn't allow it to drain off the surface, probably cost cutting at the construction stage 30 years ago.
I have heard that the owners are planning a massive renovation of the playing surface but it won't include a 4g pitch.

Our pitch has been problematic for a couple of years and more games appear to be affected by the weather than they used to be. This may be due to a lack of investment by the club (Graham and Ade) as I heard anecdotal tales of our excellent grounds team not being given sufficient backing.

That said, you go back a few years and snow and frost often saw fixtures lost and this resulted in midweek games in April which I've always enjoyed as it is a chance to watch fixtures in slightly better, warmer weather in evenings.
