Even their rivals are having a pop:

The most ‘Nuneaton’ thing they’ve conjured up to date. Absolutely shameless in taking advantage of their loyal fan base that’s stuck with them through thick and (mainly) thin as they’re having a good season. If I was a fan I’d tell them to do one.

We were talking about this in the pub on Sunday. We all agreed that Nuneaton have no class, dignity or shame but one lad (not a Hednesford fan) said he was tempted to chuck a few quid in so if they didn't achieve promotion he could sue them for false advertising.
Not sure it would work but it's an interesting idea. Also, how are they getting away with claiming Gift Aid on the donations when they're not a charity?

Good point. (I used to run the Gift Aid scheme for my church.... and) no, they can't!

50% off for Villa supporters but still creaming their own fans with a begging bowl.

That kind of thing annoys the hell out of me. Villa fans may go to the game, but they won't be bitten by the bug and come back any time soon . Meanwhile loyal fans are expected to pay full price and I daresay a number have fad to endure all sorts of nonsense over the past few years.

I worked in Nuneaton for years and I don’t recall it being a particularly big Villa territory at all. Coventry City and Leicester City yes, but not Villa. Don’t really get the thought process here from the bucket shakers as to why they are targeting Villa fans in particular.

In directly related news:

That'll pay Kyle Storer's wages for, what, the rest of the month?

Nuneaton fall agonisingly short of their £25k 'Boost the Budget' aim :-D

Image

I've also noticed that if you click on the website link on their Twitter page, it doesn't take you to their actual club website at www.pitchero.com/clubs/nuneatonboroughfc but a totally different one at www.borofc.co.uk, which exists just to sell you memberships, merchandise, tickets and car parking passes for that terrible muddy car park at Liberty Way. Unapologetically shameless as always from the bucket shakers in rinsing people for money.

Great result tonight as Tamworth lose 0-3 at home to Stourbridge.

I’d love it if Leiston won the league, and Coalville came through the play-offs…

Crowd trouble at tamworth v nuneaton tonight. No truth in the rumour that nuneaton fans were throwing buckets, amongst the array of projectiles, at the home fans

Game was actually abandoned for safety reasons.
Not Tamworths fault though according to their fans, not like they've ever had trouble there before is it 🙄😄

I suspect this was an accident waiting to happen given the added importance of the fixture to both teams. Interesting to see if Nuneaton start a fund raising campaign to cover any fine that they may receive.

Dreadful statement, only seeking to apportion blame elsewhere.
