Looks like Stratford are the next team in the league to throw some money about. Hot on the heels of Rooney is winger Chris Lait, formerly of every Non-League club in the Midlands apart from us….

13 clubs in our league have made it through to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
3 clubs are involved in replays (Stourbridge, Barwell and Coalville)

5 clubs are free and available to play on 17th September - Rushall, Mickleover, Hitchin, Leiston and Rushden & Diamonds.
With the managerial situation up in the air it’s probably best that we have a weekend off.

My brain may be hurting, but I seem to recall him being linked with us (as a loanee?) early in his career.. didn't happen though...

A sensible idea (can't believe I've called Tamworth sensible).
I think a lot of teams will do the same.

Alvechurch, St Ives and Needham Market have all had their midweek games postponed, to give them all a free night ahead of their FA Cup 4th qualifying round ties next Saturday.
Our opponents on Tuesday night Basford United are also still in the FA Cup. It’s not showing as postponed on the league website yet….

One for multiple threads including OPW and managerial losses/changes.. Mike McGrath appointed temporary manager at Bromsgrove:

Trouble at Rushden
Loss of their manager to Tamworth last season and missing out on the play-offs late on seem to have rocked them big-time. An interesting read though and a good open approach to why an EGM is required and how members will be notified.

Redditch are doing a “buy one get one free” when we play there on 10th December.
Unfortunately it’s admission to the game and not pints in the bar…. :-(

Appalling, If you can't afford promotion without having to get the fans to throw their money into the budget, then it is hardly sustainable should they go up.
If they are in the NLN next season then they will be running a campaign to help keep the club in that league

Having looked at the promotion, you can only post a comment if you've backed the initiative. In other words if you don't agree, you can't say so (unless you put your hand in your pocket)
