at Stour have fallen away pretty dramatically. I think Stour have decided to cut the wage bill for the remainder of the season, which is sensible as they aren't going anywhere. will be interesting to see what happens over the summer period - that will tell us whether the money has run out or not

Could be a big turning point in the title race today with Tamworth losing and Leiston and Coalville both scoring very late winners to take the extra two points.

Nobody has bottled anything.

There is no precedent in this country, in recent history which would have allowed for any other decision to be made. We saw our game at Worcester some years ago abandoned when we were 3 up with 13 minutes left. It had to be replayed.
Later in the season Corby were winning 2-1 at Truro when the lights failed with 5 minutes left. Truro refused to play on in the dusk. The game had to be replayed.
I'm not aware of any abandoned fixture in England at this level in recent times not having to be replayed. The SL could do nothing else.

I'm surprised that we don't see more 'floodlight failures' when home teams are losing games - call me a cynic!

What should happen now is that the police, safety authorities and local authority decide the terms under which the next game goes ahead. That can only be informed by the actions that both clubs commit to in order to ensure that the game is replayed without incident. If this can't be guaranteed , then nobody should be allowed to attend the fixture. The same applies to any possible play-off fixture.
Both clubs need to steward the game appropriately (stewards are not punchbags by the way), control ticket sales in some manner and there should be strict conditions attached to entry.
If the police are required to attend, then both clubs should foot the bill.

It may not have been at Step 3 but at Step 5 the Midland League match between Whitchurch Alport and Tividale was abandoned earlier this season with Whitchurch 3-0 up at half time. It was abandoned due to a racist comment made by a spectator to a Tividale player that the linesman apparently heard. Tividale refused to come out for the second half. That match was awarded as a 3-0 win for Whitchurch.
