Oxford United 2-1 Ipswich Town: Bosses agree foggy match should have been abandoned - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64272531
See para 3. Not directly relevant in this instance but a rule/law of which many of us probably weren't aware.
With regard to Tamworth v Nuneaton, the point which many have made on social media is that replaying the entire match from 0-0 sets a precedent for fans who want a game abandoned because their team is losing.
I would imagine the question of stewarding won't arise as most of us expect the replayed game to be behind closed doors..
Similar situation here..

Still not clear. THere is no mention of crowd trouble, nor whether any disturbances were the fault of one club or another. Are clubs expected to control their fans, or is it just their players and membership?Glyn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13 2023 9:18 pm Here's the rules..

The whole thing needs revisiting, but whatever happens fans can organise themselves to potentially get a game called off whether they are winning or not.
I'm sure there was racist abuse at a Tamworth game last year which resulted in the game being abandoned and I seem to remember it was replayed at the end of the season (my memory may be incorrect on this occasion).
It still isn't clear whether Tamworth fans or Nuneaton fans, or both sets were responsible for the trouble that led to the game being abandoned. One may have started the trouble, but there are reports that both sets of fans were causing problems in which case neither side can claim the moral high ground.

The best outcome here is Coalville are Champions and Leiston win the play offs. Justice will then be served on both clubs.

yes well done Tamworth, just pipped Coalville to the post
1,710 at Coalville just shows how many come out of the woodwork when theres a chance of something
