Forum Rules & Regulations

The rules below are general Guidelines & Rules for use on Forums and may be changed at anytime or updated without notice.

General:
1. Communicating in a chat room or on forums is different from face-to-face communication. Only the words are seen, not your facial expressions or tone of voice. Please pay careful attention to how you use your words. Remember that the words you enter in a burst of passion or indignant anger will be there for you and everyone else to see, sometimes long after those intense feelings have passed. That's not meant to discourage spontaneity, but just a friendly reminder of the long-term existence and effects of what you post.

2. You may, from time to time, find yourself in disagreement with someone else's opinion. At times like these, please keep in mind it's safer and more polite to take issue with the comments rather than the person.

3. Do unto others, as you would have them do to you. Do not post against somebody in a rude or nasty manner. Do not flame other members for their thoughts or opinions. We all have a different perspective on life and general topics so respect others and they will respect you. If you have a problem with another user do not post it here in the forums. Send that user an email or PM but do not bring your dirty laundry to the forums. If you do you will be warned and if you do it again you will be immediately banned or account terminated if the Webmaster or Administrators deems fit.

By using the forum, you agree that you will not post any of the following material in chat rooms, bulletin boards or other forums, including private messages:
  • Any communication that is intended to harass, belittle, humiliate, threaten or cause embarrassment to a fellow member.
  • Material that contains vulgar, obscene or indecent language or images.
  • Any communication that contains spam (multiple copies in one area or the same communication in multiple areas).
  • Material that defames, personally abuses or threatens others.
  • Statements that are bigoted, hateful or racially offensive.
  • Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
  • Unauthorized copyrighted material.
  • Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation.
  • Excessively large images or an excessive number of images in a signature.
  • Over usage of smileys in a post. Limit yourselves to 2 or 3 of them in one post.
Statements or postings that violate the above terms will be deleted from postings upon discovery. While we may attempt to notify you if we move or delete a post, we are under no obligation to do so. Depending on the nature of the violation, the forum administrators/moderators may suspend members' forum access or terminate a customer's account.

Most importantly, have fun here and do it with the understanding that these rules are not here to limit you but to open a forum to more than just the adult users. We like to consider this a family forum and would welcome any and all ages to join.

These rules are just a guide, for the most part problems are brought to the attention of the Webmaster/Administrators and they will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If we all can be proactive in assessing inappropriate posts the message board can be a useful source for everyone's interaction.

  • Potentially libellous posts will be removed or edited at the earliest opportunity.
  • This forum comprises a number of sub-forums which deal with a variety of topics. Please post in the appropriate area of the forum. Posts will be moved without notification if they are deemed to be in the wrong place.
  • Please refrain from posting pointless remarks that offer nothing to a topic under discussion or disrupt the flow of a thread. The admin team reserves the right to remove such posts at will and without notification.
  • Use proper English - DO NOT USE TEXT SPEAK !
  • Duplicated posts or topics will be merged or removed without notification.
  • Fans from rival teams are always welcome to post constructive views, but as our target audience are Hednesford Town FC supporters a definite 'Pitmen ' bias should be expected and tolerated.
  • The registration of multiple usernames per IP address is not allowed. If you wish to change your username please submit a request via the 'Preferences->Update Profile->Board Controls->Change username' option.
  • Forum Users can opt to post under a pseudonym but a valid and current email address must be used when registering
  • The practice of allowing your username to be used by another person is not allowed without good reason. In particular, if it is learned that a banned user is gaining access to the forum via this method that username will be banned indefinitely.
  • Inappropriate avatars & signatures will be edited or removed.
  • The banning or censorship of users, especially those who choose to disregard the rules of the forum, is at the discretion of the admin team.
  • Posts which contravene the rules of this forum will be deleted or edited by a member of the admin team.
  • When a post is edited or removed, it is sometimes necessary for the admin team to remove or edit posts that refer to it to keep the whole thread legible.
  • What is deemed offensive to one poster may have seemed perfectly innocent to the originator. If there are queries about the reasons for deleting/editing a particular post or thread, please contact a member of the admin team through the PM system.
The admin team make every effort to read every single post, however if you come across a post that you feel contravenes the guidelines set out above, then please use the REPORT button available in the bottom right-hand corner of the offending post. A member of the admin team will pick up the complaint and investigate matters accordingly.

And finally please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board, its owners, moderators or Hednesford Town Football Club.
