This is on the wrong thread.

Hyde used to have a plastic pitch but last time we were there wasn't it (immaculate) grass? I think they had their pitch maintained by Etihad City as their development squad played there before they bought most of East Manchester to build their own place.

Not unless they've changed it since November 2017 when they played MK Dons in the FA Cup and somebody threw a flare onto the pitch and melted it.

Doctoring artificial surfaces?
Surely not - or do they?
From the TU forum...

Oxford City's groundsman did them proud tonight; dumping loads more black crumb on a 3G pitch to slow it down and present United with the same problem they faced on the opening day on the bone hard straw at Chelmsford. It negated the pace difference between full-timers and part timers; gave City time to get behind the ball and cost United precious time in building their attacks. There were literally bags of the stuff kicking up whenever there was a challenge and the dull thud and low bounce of the ball when it landed out of the air told all you need to know. United were done up like a kipper!

As we've been saying off-forum, they appear to think that they're the big cheese in the division...

Cracking "debate" here, with the two sides poles apart, as usual (it's a bit like Brexit :-D ) and plenty of ignorance, also as usual!!

There’s a quite considerable slope to flatten out at Kirkby Road before they can get started

Good luck to them. Always a good away day is Ilson, knowledgeable fans who have seen all sorts of nonsense going on in the last decade
