Edited highlights from the report in the Non League Paper:

" Rob Smith and his assistant Larry Chambers took up Halesowen's management reins, but there was no respite for his struggling new team as Stratford cruised to victory."

"But with Halesowen now having scored just once in seven league games, Stratford went on to take their second half chances and win the game with ease."

"The Yeltz provided little in response in a disappointing afternoon."

"... lots of comings and goings...."

I wonder if we can have any of their cast-offs to replace those who will no doubt be going the other way, though if they're not good enough for them then they really wouldn't be inspiring arrivals....

One does recall them doing a similar rescue job in their next role after they last left
us, but they've got another big task on their hands...

Plenty of effort but more quality needed, says Larry:

And yet more new players to come....

Crikey, another six pointer!

It’s not the fault of the new management team though, yet...

Rob isn't happy with the lack of fight from his team at Hitchin...

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... rom-yeltz/

Yet half of the starting line-up are players he has signed in the last couple of weeks...

26/12/18 Halesowen 0-3 Stourbridge (crows 1,994)

A brief summary of each player's performance :

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... ourbridge/

A "completely new dressing room thrown together" says Rob - funny, I'm sure 5-6 of them have shared them a dressing room on a number of occasions already this season:

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... rob-smith/

P5 W0 D1 L4 F2 A12 PTS 1

Next match: 29/12/18 Banbury (h)

A waste of time reading the player reviews. Everybody had a reasonable game without anyone being exceptional. obviously the author doesn't want to burn any bridges.

29/12/18 Halesowen 2-0 Banbury (crows 402)

A brief summary of each player's performance, including an outstanding show at centre-back by Joe Fitzpatrick:

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... s-banbury/

One win and things are looking up says Rob, as he confirms what we already know about his fondness for Fitz:

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... rob-smith/
