They appear to be going into the season with six players, unless I'm missing something!

A bit late in the day for this?

Can you imagine, for example, a tennis player qualifying for the semi-finals but then withdrawing??

A really good idea and one which I hope catches on. We have probably 10 local-ish games which could kick-off earlier with little disruption. Well done to the Isthmian League.
Stourbridge sort of made it work last season and so it can be done.

I imagine their league rivals are using the word "budget" on a regular basis!

It was noticeable that in our division on Saturday (crows) were below 700 at all games. I know it is the holiday season, but clubs need to be careful not to take things too far as fans will sometimes have differing priorities.

All fine by me. Though one thing does confuse me - at so many sporting events (eg and notably but far from exclusively WWFC home games and the Commonwealth Games) there's a pyrotechnics display before/during/afterwards - (and someone was injured at Molineux years ago) - so how is that allowed?

And then there's this...
