MATCH PREVIEWS - Matlock Town v Pitmen

Hyde's 90th minute winner in the Trophy
http://evostikleague.pitchero.com/results.php
means we're on on Wednesday
Heck of a tough challenge, as we know having failed to beat Matlock in three attempts this season, but no better time to do so - one defeat after a super run isn't the end of the world, but with injuries and suspensions having a major impact on our squad right now, the next few weeks are going to be a real test...
Plan A is for Radio Glyn to be there,
so full text updates should be available
And it seems that tonight's predicted frost is a one-off so we should be on

By a strange quirk of the fixture-list (and the postponement of the Marine game), and with the exception of BPA, Matlock will be the highest-placed team we've played away this season so far
http://evostikleague.pitchero.com/tables.php
from which one can also deduce that we've got some VERY tough away games to come in the remainder of the season
I'll get me anorak...

I've just remembered Evesham away last season, which was as bad as yesterday appears to have been - and we didn't do too badly after that did we?
Onwards and upwards....

Matlock site here

Seems they're trying to pretend yesterday never happened
Let's agree with them on that

Looks like they've settled on that 4-5-1 formation then, even at home

Stan James make us favourites
at 6/5. with the draw at 13/5 and the home win 13/8

It seems that they've signed former Strangers striker Danny Davidson (presumably cos they couldn't get Marv) and he'll make his debut on Wednesday against us. (Can't be arsed with a link
)

Here's a link about Rob's view ahead of Wednesday (and well done Chris yet again for getting the message about HTFC out there

I'm sure he scored against us when we lost 2-0 at Matlock on Easter Monday to virtually end any hopes of the playoffs.

I believe that he was in attendance at the Strangers game last week and some of the home fans were hoping he would sign for them.
He must be getting on a bit now...
...but there again Brian Cusworth has been around for a while and he still knows where the goal is

Looks like the wet weather which is afflicting the North-West today won't spread much further south by tomorrow

You may be right, I think he moved on to Boston the following season.
