RIP Dean Jones, just 59. "Hero"... "legend..." In a sporting context, yes. My customary comment when someone famous passes on... none of us knows what tomorrow holds in store, or indeed even the rest of today. Make sure you know what is your eternal destiny. If you don't understand what I mean by that, feel free to ask me, publicly or privately...

You'll no doubt hear the words "sadly died..." - fear not, Bobby's not sad where he's gone... :)

And JJ Williams was very much a part of my youth, when the gentleman who taught me HNC Business Studies was a proud Welshman, and never let us forget it, not least because they were winning everything...

Sadly this loss has been overlooked (6th November)
The wonderful Jim Radford has sailed into calm waters for his very last trip: (1 October 1928 – 6 November 2020)

Had an amazing career with the all conquering Liverpool side. My abiding memory of him in an England shirt is conceding a goal against Scotland when he let the ball squeeze into the net between his legs. I think it cost us the game.
Obviously had Shilton not played at the same time he would have been the undisputed first choice for England, but I always felt Shilton was a slightly better 'keeper.
