Rumour is that this is Joe Duckworth and he was playing for Northwich Victoria away at Dudley. The game was abandoned due to serious knee injury suffered by a Vics player when they were 3 down.

Dudley took down last night's tweets but have now posted this statement instead..

The ref gave a yellow card.
The game was abandoned because the injured player could not be moved until paramedics arrived.

Duckworth was named in the Vics side so wasn't playing under a false identity. So if this is true he wasn't even due to play, but was called up late (by the manager, his brother), was named on the team sheet and is registered to play.
