'Spiv' is another one. Reminds me instantly of Flash Harry in the St Trinians films, played by George Cole, who later played the part of another Spiv, Arthur Daley, in Minder.

My source tells me that some players are SLEEPING in the ground! - though the Fire Service have been unable to substantiate this as it might contravene ground/safety/fire regs anyway

Those experts on playing budgets in our midst may be a tad surprised at their (previous) figure for a NPL club

Interesting to note the role that the supporters club play in covering pitch hire (from the council?) and coach hire for away games. I imagine that those costs are relatviely high so credit to the fans.
ALso credit to the management team for not taking a wage - I suspect this is the case at other clubs so hopefully when results don't always go well fans would do well to remember this.
