Yes he was, he came as back up to Ryan Young but he didn't wait around long. I think he also might have come back at some point later for an even shorter spell too!
This from "reliable source" (albeit not one of my usual ones....)

After Ryan Young quit to go to Redditch at the end of our promotion season, we signed Tommy Whittle who played at Barrow and then for the first half of the season, pretty much.

Gary Hateley took over in goal after that. He was in the team the night we got that last minute point at Marston Road through Leon McSweeney.
Hateley to Eastwood Town

TalkSPORT report that Coops will take over as full-time manager with effect from today (I didn't use the word "permanent" )
Coops pits his wits v Mourinho this week:

Gary Hay to SCT

Sadly my last HTFC memory is of him suddenly reappearing for that awful POSF defeat at BPA - but he did score a few good 'uns for us... notably at Chester..

Oh, I hadn't realised that the entire Eastwood team had in fact relocated to Bedworth!

Three more ex-Pitmen in that list (one of whom will only ever make/have made one appearance for us....)

And interesting that, having brought in the lad Ramsay-Dickson, Pics have seen fit to release Dave Walker on loan, whereupon he scored twice for Witton on Saturday I think...

Ah, here's why...

I see several of our old players were on the mark last night including Suttons Mark Danks and Gary Hay with three against Market Drayton.
Nick Wellecome for Chasetown at Leek in the SS Cup and Mark Beesley for Burscough.

Bedworth must have signed at least 20 new players in the last month?!

Note Liam Flynn also on the move again

Elsewhere, I picked up a Sunday Mercury yesterday which told me that Adam McGurk "notched a brace" for Burton on Saturday.

Can't be doing with these archaic football phrases, but I hope he left the custodian helpless...

Just doing some proofreading for next Tuesday's programme; he's still with them; will be interesting to see if he plays, and if so how much he's improved....
