a) So, Yeung already had convictions when passing the fit and proper test

b) Karren Brady was extremely evasive on WM this morning when (admittedly on to talk about something else) she was asked about Blose current predicament

c) Ref that story about last night and the naughty ref - Blose had better be careful what they complain about, as their third goal in the 95th minute was handball and all three of their goals were scored by players from Man Utd/Man City

Great comment in the Exeter rag "Express & Echo" from the Exeter City manager:

"Paul Tisdale accepts no responsibility for the predicament that the Club finds itself in."

So who is to blame then!!

Hereford threatened with administration according to the BBC. If they have points deducted they'll probably get relegated to CN as they are having a very poor season already.

It was reported recently that they had to make two part time masseurs redundant. Bit of an extravagance in the first place

Port Talbot in temporary crisis due to non-playing of games during the winter...

http://porttalbottown.wordpress.com/201 ... statement/

The future is artificial pitches, which the (English) FA are today expected to sanction for use in the FA Cup...

.....and who is going to pay for all these artificial pitches that you keep banging on about?

I'm sure those that have done their homework and looked at the sums will do well. Maidstone, for example, have a lot of use for their pitch and it would seem that the payback is relatively quick.
May be more difficult for other clubs where geography is an issue or where there are alternative venues (Cannock Cricket and Hockey club in our case)

Grants cover a substantial part of the initial outlay and then they pay for themselves through community use (and non-postponement of scheduled league/cup games) over just a few years whereafter it's all profit

Ask TNS, Stratford Town, Gala Fairydean et al, they really work.

When you get the chance to play at Keys Park at 12 noon on a Saturday before the first team takes over you'll see the benefit...

(oh, and wrong thread.... ;)   :-D )

Hmm, what will be first, an artificial surface at Keys Park or me playing there at 12 noon on a Saturday before the first team takes over.....
