Brian Horton appointed Asst Manager at Doncaster.

Seems he's determined never to retire!

Chad Shepherd is playing for Cradley Town (that's how nonleaguedaily has spolled his surname, but if it's the same Chad who played for us I seem to remember it being spolled slightly differently).

Good spot. Can't imagine there'd be two of them.

Tried to do a bit of detective work but found out only that he played for ESPN FC in 2005

Jermaine Johnson appears to be fully fit and has had some time on the pitch in the early pre-season friendlies contested by Strangers at Kidsgrove and Rocester. Good to see him back after suffering a nasty injury

But they can both play midfield. It's the Cashley Cole/Wayne Bridge method...

Tyrone on the move again?

His value appears to have dipped by £100k, but hey, there is a recession on...

As much as I admire Ty, it's a lot of money for someone who scored 5 goals in 31 games...

Struggling team, and of course he did have his own problems last season.

Will be fascinating to see if he can establish himself in a mid-table Championship team if the move comes off

Yes he was, he came as back up to Ryan Young but he didn't wait around long. I think he also might have come back at some point later for an even shorter spell too!

This from "reliable source" (albeit not one of my usual ones....)

After Ryan Young quit to go to Redditch at the end of our promotion season, we signed Tommy Whittle who played at Barrow and then for the first half of the season, pretty much.

Gary Hateley took over in goal after that. He was in the team the night we got that last minute point at Marston Road through Leon McSweeney.
