Coventry's prices for League Two football at the Ricoh, just for the sake of comparison:

You can buy a season ticket to save money, if you think they'll be in business for all of it...

By way of contrast to the thread about non-league players moving up the pyramid, there are plenty going the other way - mainly to Billericay, of course, but these too...

Nothing to worry about anyway. It says here they "conceded five goals in almost ten years."

Congratulations to Torquay (with whom we have a certain affinity, of course, due to our Devon correspondent) on becoming the first club in the top five divisions to sack their manager this season (although, having heard the news on the radio, I had to search the BBC Football website hard to find the story...)

There are a couple of Gulls fans on here - and my brother works in their club shop! He served a Pitman fan last week who was down there for a long weekendGlyn wrote:Congratulations to Torquay (with whom we have a certain affinity, of course, due to our Devon correspondent) on becoming the first club in the top five divisions to sack their manager this season (although, having heard the news on the radio, I had to search the BBC Football website hard to find the story...)

Sad news about Nicho, results took their toll in the end, but its crazy they let him build a new team in the summer then dismiss him so quickly - no chance for them to gel really. He is a great bloke and I hope he finds another role within the game very soon.

Hardly surprising - the guy was a nice enough chap but had no managerial experience and got the job via his 'legend' status at the club!steve-k wrote:There are a couple of Gulls fans on here - and my brother works in their club shop! Sadly the owner Clarke Osborne has no interest in the club, just the land it stands on. Been down this road before with a certain Chris Roberts who was duly exposed .. and now CO has had a rough ride via one very critical Fan's Forum.
Interesting about your brother Steve .. doubtless he knows a few people that I also do!
It was Malcolm Musgrove's son who passed on the news about Nicholson!
