I booked tickets for T20 Finals Day at Edgbaston months ago so I won't be able to attend (unless it chucks it down). A very winnable tie and our form away from home is probably better than it is at KP.

The FA Cup Final is on Saturday 17th May. Don’t say you weren’t told!

I've blocked the day out on the calendar

Strangers edge through.. awful run of penalties by Long Eaton..
Local derby but still an odd choice, bbc like the southern games! not studied the draw but newcastle town v scunthorpe stood out for me when I first had alook, particularly with how well scunthorpe are going this season.
After the game on Bank Holiday Monday I hope we get ourselves into a better frame of mind for this. I was hoping we'd avoid Cashtown as well as a trip to Cleethorpes.
We should expect another big which is good.

In two minds about the FA Trophy this season, winning matches against lower league opposition are great for momentum but if it's at the cost of 3-4 poor results in the league as we try and play catch up it's hard to argue that it's really worth it.
All you can ask for is when you get home draws they're the sort of games that will bring in big crowds and at this stage of the competition and given who is still in it that's probably the best draw possible on that front.

We can’t play any FA Trophy matches against lower league opposition as we are the lowest level that enters it.
I’m happy to progress and to get games against Scunthorpe and Oldham and a day out at Wembley at the end of it.

FA Cup 3QR:
Shifnal Town or Redditch United v Rugby Town or Hednesford Town.
A local draw which is a positive should we get through tomorrow. Bromsgrove and Hereford both have long treks.
Redditch will be an interesting test for us and will give us a benchmark as to how good our team (notwithstanding the inability to defend set-pieces) is.

Shifnal 1 up at the break!

Shifnal won 1-0.
A great incentive to win tomorrow night now. Shifnal is very local and if we win tomorrow we have a great opportunity to make it to the 4th qual round

Wythenshawe v Farsley gets the BBC coverage and money then, not us..
Worth keeping an eye on Congleton v Hyde. If Congleton win then our game at their place on 26th October will be off.

If Congleton win and if Clitheroe beat Lancaster, hopefully our away game at Avro scheduled for Wednesday 30th October can be moved to Saturday 26th October.

If we win tomorrow we have Gateshead at home, 5th in the National League. Very difficult game in our quest for qualification for the 1st round for the first time in 10 years.
Other games of local interest:
Rushall v Royston or Peterborough Sports
Tamworth v Macclesfield
Altrincham v Solihull
Buxton or Kidderminster v Guiseley

Gateshead are going very well in the league and there is a 3 division gap . Too get through they will need to have a very bad off-day and we will need to play out of our skins
Should we win, it's a shame that the opposition will be an NL club with a small fanbase who may not be keen on a 390 mile round trip.

Yes although doing well they only average about 1200 and fourth lowest in their league
That said whoever wins should still have a decent crowd as it's International weekend no Wolves Villa or Albion (Birmingaham and Walsall have home games) and hopefully if we can progress locals will turn out
