I went to Dudley Town v Nuneaton Griff in Midland League Division One yesterday which Dudley won 2-1. As far as former Pitmen go, Lewis Taylor-Boyce played up front for Dudley and didn’t do much, although he was yellow carded AFTER he had been substituted whilst sitting on the bench!
Rob Hanna came on as a sub with 10 minutes to go and set up the winner. I still think it was worth keeping and developing him until he was ready, he’s a talented lad and I’m sure he’ll be good enough for our level.

Went to watch AFC wulfs beat Worcester 3 1. Hills had a decent game and he hit the bar with a 30 yarder. Dom dell came off the bench to set up the third goal with a well weighted pass.
A fair few worcester fans in attendance and many had big club syndrome afflicting them which involved slagging off the flood lighting and the quality of the officials amongst other things.
Wulfs goal led a charmed life at times but they defended fiercely and worked hard for each other.

I was at Kettering Town v Curzon Ashton in National League North and the visitors had Adam Thomas and Tom Peers in their starting line up. Unfortunately for them neither had any effect on the game and the home side eased to a comfortable 3-0 win. It was a fairly dirty game though, 7 yellows and 1 straight red and it could have been more.

I don’t know why Demetri Brown has signed for McDonald again when he didn’t give him a chance at Keys Park…

How many forwards do they have, how big is the squad and how do they afford it?

Sad news of the passing of a former Hednesford Town midfield general. Dave Storey played throughout the 1980's for the Pitmen giving around 7 or 8 years loyal service and I am sure many of you will remember what a nice bloke he was and a local schoolteacher.
RIP Dave.

I'm old enough to remember Dave's time with us. ALways looked like he enjoyed playing for us, seemed to have a great love for the club and the game. One of his traits was to receive throw-ins from team mates and volley the ball over the opposition defence - proper route one stuff!
He was a fine exponent of set pieces and was probably the best penalty taker that we have had in my time watching Hednesford. I only ever recall him missing one and that was a twice taken penalty (he scored with the first attempt) in the WML cup final versus Halesowen at Bilston in the early 80s when he hit the post.
RIP Dave

Lee will confirm that, when he told me Bails was leaving, I said he'd pitch up at either Lambs or Pics.
But maybe that wasn't rocket science...
