Stroud ,population 115,000 ,on FGR doorstep and Gloucester and Cheltenham not far away. Great achievement though to beat Tranmere and realise their dream.

Not really that great an achievement as it's cost their owner over £5million to do it.

I'm assuming that somebody is putting money into the club as I can't see why these guys would drop down to that level as clubs a bit higher up the pyramid would be looking at them too.

I read that "Ilkeston United Community FC" has already been formed as the next phoenix to rise from the ashes... and that the ground is owned by the local council....
