Excellent broadcaster on talkSPORT (I know, there's a phrase you don't often hear) Danny Kelly makes the point that Kettering have gone under for the sake of £58k while one club in Europe is paying another £85m-ish for one player whose weekly wage will be four times the Kettering debt.
That said, if someone owes me £58k, I want it back

Re: Clubs in crisis
Agree with the sentiment coming out of Truro, but it's certain that many other clubs are (and will be in the future) run by people who are blinded and don't heed the warnings around them.
As far as Kettering are concerned, one of the statements talks about them having to sell assets - I'm not sure they have any as they have no ground to call their own and the players won't be much cop

No, but read the previous link and you'll see that the reason they owe money to their former directors is that they lent them the money to pay off the tax debt; then didn't get their money back. The Beerhunter wrote:Not exactly the same old same old...

Re: Clubs in crisis
I did read the link, my point was that the debt was incurred under the regime of the previous Chairman so he was either directly or indirectly responsible and he's now trying to reclaim his loan.
I agree though that it seems that the present Hinckley Board haven't exactly gone out of their way to accommodate him although I'm lead to believe that there was no formal agreement to how and when the money should be repaid.
The link is pretty good, the London gazette list all the insolvencies and winding up orders.
