I, and a number of other Pitmen fans, travelled to Kings Lynn many years ago only to find the match postponed when we got there.
I don't know whether players get paid anything for travelling to a match that doesn't take place, but I certainly didn't get paid to attend as a fan. I'm not sure I was "fuming" either, it might be an inconvenience but it's hardly the end of the world.

We've all done it at sometime I suppose but the difference here being that the Kings Lynn Chairman told Alvechurch at 9am and 12 noon that there were no problems with the pitch only for the Match referee to call it off on his arrival due to an area of the pitch being frozen as it doesn't get any sun on it, a bit like the Heath Hayes end at Keys Park.

Gosh. Nowt on their website or Twitter and he seems to have left Facebook too... but I'll take your word for it, you're usually in the know about him! Yeltz next, perhaps?? So much for his "great to be back at a great club" remarks....

Meanwhile four ex-Pitmen on the mark in the SLP or whatever it's called this week

I see Ryan Nesbitt has signed for Solihull Moors from Sutton Coldfield and then promptly been loaned back to them for the remainder of the season.

As Lee and I pointed out in an exchange of texts after Sam Hornby's move to Vale, there appear to be an awful lot of players who weren't (considered) good enough for us who are now playing at a higher level in the pyramid - I'm sure someone with time on their hands could compile at least an eleven...
Here you go, I've started for you... just fill in the gaps....

Sam Hornby

Ashley Williams (although, to be fair, he did move up the pyramid from us, but Barry Powell didn't rate him!)

Tom James

Robbie Thompson-Brown
James McQuilkin

Ahmed Obeng

Possibles for inclusion, debatable whether we let them go because they weren't (considered) good enough for us, or just loans ended, or indeed they were genuinely awful for us...

George Forsyth; Matt Regan; Bohan Dixon; Courtney Wildin; Paul Ennis (? - I've lost track of where he is now...)

There must be more....

Isaac Cooper back playing for Darlaston yesterday, and scored their equaliser. My Darlo correspondent tells me that their black players suffered racist abuse throughout the game at Worcester City, and after a 1-1 draw the home team "raided" the away dressing room after the game and the Darlo manager was punched in the face. Welcome to civilised society in 2019...
