“There is no money available at the moment for new players,†he said.The club posted a £107,626 profit in its first season, although that figure included money pledged by supporters to help start the club

Wow, I don't suppose "non-contract" means "no-money", hope they can afford him after their recently publicised financial news.... (see earlier posts, especially what I've highlighted in red!)...

They've released someone else (I forget who)* and reckon that the money they've saved on his wages will pay for Trundle. I reckon the saved money would be better used to reduce their deficit but what do I know?
* I've just checked it was Michael Powell.

You'd think with home gates of 40,000 plus they'd be able to support the wage bill. I don't know what they charge to get into Div 3 games, but assuming it's a tenner that's £400K coming in every other week. Surely they haven't got blokes on £20K a week?!

Haven't yet found a link with details, but they'll also have sold a lot of season tickets and merchandise etc etc, giving them positive cashflow from day one... (I was in Perth the day that [oldco] Rangers played their last-ever game at St Johnstone and even though the future was then very uncertain Gers fans were in town with this season's shirts on...)

And before West Ham think the move to the Olympic Stadium will get them off the hook, Barry Hearn and Leyton Orient are going for a judicial review of the allegedly-imminent decision to let them move in there...

Dunfermline Athletic face a winding-up petition over a debt of £134k to HMRC.
A series of meetings with fans has been taking place but there is the possibility that they won't survive until the end of the season
They will be one of the clubs which voted for Rangers to be demoted from the SPL......

They've already appointed their current interim boss (taking over from the previous two interim bosses) until the end of the season so what relevance has this to the price of fish?!

Rarely watch tv news so I'm not bang up-to-date with the Coventry situation but I'm aware that that's reaching crisis point again isn't it...??
In their case the problem has been plummeting down the leagues too quickly (Portsmouth and Wolves take note...)

Worcester plan to sell 1, 500 season tickets next season for £ 100 each playing at Kidderminster. Even at that cheap price they're living in cloud cuckoo land if they really think they can manage that!
