Just noticed Sam Craven's name on the teamsheet for Worksop in their win over North Ferriby in midweek, coming into the team ahead of Chris Shaw

Chey Dunkley first start for Kidder - not least because one of their big names (in both senses) has been tempted by the filthy lucre at Mansfield...

Bridgwater scored for Redditch. I'm guessing it's Dave.

Chey must be delighted to know he's made it to the big time..... now all they have to do is learn how to spoll his name...

Clemmo's first start, I think, for the Stags

Staggering. I think the figure "37" is missing from "... his xx former clubs"

And having seen VM in action the other week, I don't share that optimism about their prospects for the season ahead.... but hey, Ellison could be the final piece in the jigsaw...

Ellison on the mark - see, he can score!

Two familiar names on the mark in front of a big Bank Holiday crowd at Romulus FC

(and while you're there, note the novel reason for the postponement at Garforth Town!)

He does do well on Bank Holiday Mondays....

... and yes, they're on fire, as are Chester, and Oxford and BPA well-placed too... suggests that the step up to BSN isn't too daunting, as we sincerely hope to find out this time next year....

The usual plethora of goals at the next level down from ex-Pitmen yesterday, notably Wellers and Proffitt

Marvin Robinson was sent off in Brackley's 3-2 win over Droylsden for handling the ball on the line in his own penalty area.

I heard on talkSPORT last Thursday (or was it Friday, it's been a busy weekend!) that Posh had turned down an offer of £1m for Tyrone from an "unnamed club" - don't think anything came of it....

If the deal for Clemmo includes additional money for appearances, I'm delighted to see they're bringing him on as a 90th-minute sub!

Clem had a full game for Mansfield yesterday.

Grant Beckett popped up with a rare goal which proved to be the winner for Pics

Tough times for JJ:

Johnson broke his fibula and suffered cruciate and medial ligament damage after colliding with Hednesford captain Dave MacPherson in the 2-2 draw.

The 21-year-old only rejoined Rangers from the Pitmen in the summer and is almost certainly out for the rest of the campaign but is still staying upbeat.

Rangers have lodged an insurance claim for the centre-back, who has been forced to quit his temporary job as an administrator at Birmingham College.

The former Derby County trainee is London-born but lives in Birmingham and needs financial help until he's back on his feet and able to work again.

But Johnson is adamant he will bounce back from the pain and anguish of the injury and wants to return to Rangers stronger for the experience.

He said: "That's when I play at my best, when I have got a point to prove, hopefully I will come back and show everyone what I am capable of.

A very sad situation which typifies the risks which semi-pro players run - hope the insurance claim succeeds

Moves are afoot to launch a PFA-style players' union for semi-pro players, the sooner the better
