Can't comment on the Cashtown goal as I was miles away so look forward to seeing it on the highlights section (well not really looking forward to it, but hey ho)[/quote]

I to can't comment either as too far away, others did after the game but best now to move on and with a win against Stafford it will all become a distant memory, until we play them at their place and get revenge !!

Intriguing, we're getting a lot more discussion after a 1-0 defeat than we do after, say, a 6-1 win.

Funny old game....

The Chasetown version of events is very fair in it's analysis http://www.chasetown-fc.com/index.php/c ... ocal-derbyand I too would agree with Lee K that we had our chances and were denied by some excellent goalkeeping by Ryan Price.
On another note I see that zico (aka Sid Snot) has resurfaced at the first sign of adversity to have a pop at the manager - forget it mate, I for one are not interested in that rubbish!
Rob and Larry are acutely aware of where the buck stops and will be working on what needs to be done with the playing budget that they have to work with.
Even with the recent downturn in form, which has incidentally coincided with disruption to the squad through suspensions and injuries, this management team still have a win percentage of nearly 68% and will not be bettered at this level. So before you start campaigning zico, your comments are not welcome.

With regards to yesterdays game I would not argue with any of the analysis so far and I applaud the restraint being shown by fair minded supporters to avoid overt criticism of individual players on a public forum, that would only further undermine morale and confidence.
If I can focus on the positives the two centre backs were our best players, (Che and Pedro), Kyle Haynes and Darren Campion had a good first half but beyond that we did not perform particularly well. The 'creative' side of our team fell woefully short and it forced us to resort to lumping long balls up to Marvin and (later on) Wellers, which played into the hands of Teesdale, Turner, Slater and Stride who had been set up specifically to deal with that tactic.
One observation that I would make is that it appears to me that when Clemmo has a quiet game in midfield, no-one else steps up to the plate to take up the challenge and that makes it very easy for an opposing manager to stop our team playing the football that we know they can play.
Up front, we have quite a few striker options but none are delivering goals with any consistency, however, this may be a feature of the previous point regarding midfield creativity.
We are still handily placed for the end of season play offs but we need to address the issues highlighted in the current run of results as soon as possible.
Terry, Zico is not sid snot and sid doesn't go to games any more apart from the Chorley game he has his own views on the current management team and is not compaining against them he will come to the odd game so can you please refrain from you personal comments thankyou...

and as for Zico....

Correct nightshade .. and TerryMc, more than most, has every right to have his say too.

I would politely suggest that if people such as zico and your good self would like to have your voices heard more clearly .. you consider joining the HTFCSA (if you are not already a member!)
That way you are not just a pseudonym - but a real person! ;)

Good evening nightshade, thank you for the PM that you sent me advising me that zico is not Sid Snot, it is interesting that you seem to know quite a bit about these other anonymous posters, including the matches they do/don't attend and that Sid Snot 'has his own views on the current management team' - seems like a very intimate little group of anonymous posters.
Anyway, I would just like to say that I did not make any personal comments about anyone, (anonymous or not!), I merely made the point that the sort of vindictive and subversive comments made on another forum, at another time, which were very damaging to our football club will not be allowed to flourish here. Constructive criticism is welcome but anything else - not required thanks!

not as much damage as the display turned out yesterday in front of 1606 people so I have heard by other match reporters but that's just their opinions...I'm sure we will pull out the bad patch and be pushing for a play off place..
