Boldmere St Mike's manager yesterday:
"Simeon is a phenomenal signing...He's been playing at Redditch and Hednesford but I've always said this: Simeon's Boldmere through and through. And whatever happens from now until the end of the season, we'll always be here for him."

But none of us are surprised. Now we certainly must allow PC the time to do his stuff. At least he has a two hour coach journey to introduce the players to each other

And people wonder why the modern footballer is held in such low regard. I joked the other week about Maye injuring his foot whilst tripping over the cat trying to answer the phone. Looks like I was right.
How long before Mutton and Flanagan follow too??!!
By taking this bunch of players with him, MacDonald appears to be gearing up for life as a mid-table Conference North outfit.
Although the 'redditch clique' are fine players there is no way that they are up to making a two league step up. I wonder if the MoorsHierarchy saw this as part of the plan when they appointed MacDonald.
I hope that the season turns sour for him as he has no class as clearly he has been int ear of some of our players.

Calum isn't in our squad today so PC has clearly decided the 7 days' notice will mean he's heading for Damson Lane; a bit like Liam was "still thinking about the move to Solihull" after we drew with Strangers, when his mind was very clearly already made upPerton Pitman wrote:And people wonder why the modern footballer is held in such low regard. A choice of viewing tonight, Baggies and Blose (I presume as they're both kicking off at 1730) both live on tv - or you can turn to S4C at 1715 and see Dis, Rushton and Woolfie in action

Warrington can't be too far away as the crow flies. Hopefully it won't be too foggy over the border

Good point. It's a heck of a long way from the stand to the pitch (another piggin ground with a track round it! )Perton Pitman wrote:Warrington can't be too far away as the crow flies. Hopefully it won't be too foggy over the border

Looks like Aaron Rey is now scoring for City of Liverpool FC (if I've skim-read this correctly...)
http://us7.campaign-archive2.com/?u=be3 ... 3e4144ffe6
(And we may be going through a tough time but at least we don't have to watch our football at the YESSSS Electrical Arena.... would be funny if they had a power failure, wouldn't it... )

Woolfie played reasonably well. Even though it said "WOLFE" on the back of his shirt!Glyn wrote:A choice of viewing tonight, Baggies and Blose (I presume as they're both kicking off at 1730) both live on tv - or you can turn to S4C at 1715 and see Dis, Rushton and Woolfie in action
Rushton did nothing (no change there); they're still playing Dis as a central defender, doesn't work

The ref really should have allowed the game to continue with Strangers wearing those luminous shirts.Lee K wrote:Taylor to Batchelor, great goal, shame it didn't count....

Moors are probably familiar with the concept....
A shame "Non League Scout" couldn't find some of his better goals for that compilation, those are just tap-ins

Re: Old Player Watch
Interesting comments here about Jamey, sounds like he's had a great season so far for Solihull:
https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/t3369,offset=0
I'm not sure he did turn Crewe down though as was suggested by a number of posters, I remember reading a couple of interviews with Crewe manager Steve Davis in their local rag that suggested they'd decided not to offer Jamey anything because he wasn't much different to what they already had...

A Moors fan came on here towards the end of pre season saying he thought Jamey was a squad signing. I wonder what he thinks now?

I wonder (entirely pointlessly) if we stand to benefit in any way from Jamey's upwards career progress... but then the way he left us to go backwards to go forwards (Simeon Maye, anybody?) remains one of life's great mysteries...Lee K wrote:Interesting comments here about Jamey, sounds like he's had a great season so far for Solihull:
