Bailey leaves
Widely speculated that this was happening on Saturday. The correct decision for both parties I think - very simply put, I don’t think he has the pace to keep up with play at step three anymore. That’s not a criticism, just an observation and the simple fact that time waits for no man. Tamworth hadn’t played him at all this term before he was allowed to rejoin us and he has always looked that yard or so off the pace in the games I’ve seen him. I hope he finds a club he can get regular game time at - Chasetown maybe? Either way, I wish him well but would expect this to be the last time he returns.

I think you've summed it up perfectly there. Due to work i cant get there on a Sat afternoon, but love catching the highlights but the lack of pace is evident. As you say time waits for no man, and who can honestly say they're as quick as they were 10 years ago.
Bails will always be a club legend, and still has lots to offer another club.

Ryan Nesbitt leaves:

Very disappointing news, he had something different to what we’ve got and is an intelligent footballer.

Getting down to the bones now, sense two or three incoming soon.

I think the squad needs trimming down and I'm sure Burry realises that a bit of steel in midfield is needed.

One wonders where this leaves current players, including Portman. Can't blame Burry for trying to improve the squad, but at some point we need a settle first choice XI

They're both right backs Portman plays centre half or left back. If anything it's a threat to Hartley.
Alas still no sign of the extra two experienced midfielders we've needed all season.

Apologies Perton, Akinwe is a left wing back just picked that up from Shrewsbury Towns u18 website his most recent club, released in the summer.
Broome started at Wolves but moved to Watford at age 16 from where he was released at the end of last season, he is a right full back.

Joe Cuff has departed the club now.

Always felt like Burr never fancied him, we really need some attacking players coming in, that’s Nesbitt and Cuff now

Had to go after last night. Position was untenable as a contracted player, not starting games and playing poorly when he did get minutes, now facing a multi-game ban for another red card. A real shame as his pre-season was so exciting but he once again proved that his poor attitude/application far outweighs his undoubted talent as he had at Strangers. He’s someone else’s problem now.

Any chance we can use this ‘mutual termination’ jobbie on some other players? Might be able to afford that experienced holding midfielder that we are crying out for yet again.

Rangers fan in peace here

Not shocked about the Joe Cuff news. It's plainly obvious why he hasn't made it as a pro footballer - his head isn't screwed on remotely right. All the talent in the world, pace, strength and not injury prone, it's his mind that's not in it. Kind of worrying for him on a personal level to be honest.

Surprised he wasn't getting a game under Burr, he signed for us when Burr was manager and played regularly back then. For a time last season we really thought that Matt Hill was getting through to him, consistent and hardworking performances combined with some astonishing displays of individual skill in the first half of the season gave way to storming off after getting subbed and not turning up any more in the new year with us on the edge of the playoffs.

My lad has observed that Hewlett has scored the odd goal or two for Leamington during his spell there. Not a bad signing on paper.

Portman gone via the ‘mutual termination’ route once more:

Good luck to the lad. Got potential to do well at this level and above but just not quite there yet. He never looked convincing positionally at left-back, where we seemed determined to play him, rather than as the left-sided centre-back. Plenty of time ahead of him to come good, just not the sort of player we need in our current predicament.

Just SIX outfield players left now from the KMR era.
