Yet another writer who doesn't know that Telford didn't sign Campion from us.
Good spot!

I've mentioned it on Camps' Facebook page from where I picked up the link...

Del wrote:From our local rag re James Hurst:

Meanwhile, United's leading scorer James Hurst was expected to leave Plainmoor this week after being suspended by the club.

The Gulls paid Hednesford Town a 'nominal' fee for the talented Hurst during the summer, and the former England Under-20 player, who started his career with West Bromwich Albion, has scored seven goals from right-back and right-midfield. He was suspended in the wake of an alleged incident in Torquay town centre last weekend.

National League rivals Guiseley have been leading the list of clubs interested in Hurst.

How the 'mighty' fall!

He previously played club football in the Premier League for West Bromwich Albion, in the Football League for Blackpool, Shrewsbury Town, Chesterfield, Birmingham City, Crawley Town and Northampton Town, in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild for ÍBV and Valur, and in the Conference North for Hednesford Town. Internationally, he represented England at levels from under-16 to under-20.

According to the Bucks forum, Mccone out injured for weeks/months. Look at their results since he has been injured!

My sources tell me there's unfavourable comment about Campion on their forum too. But I couldn't possibly repeat it here...

A shame really, his formed dipped after a scorching start. I wish him all the best though, his efforts never faltered.

I wouldn't necessarily say his form dipped, Bernie consistently played him in the wrong position and in that wrong position our formation and tactics didn't play to his strengths at all.

We'll have him! He can do as much fighting as he likes on the pitch!
Maybe there are less distractions in that part of the world and he won't get into trouble as easily. mind you, the beer is stronger!
Hursty has posted on Facebook that he's now living in Leeds so the Guiseley rumour may be accurate

Just goes to show the travelling excuse was rubbish. It was best for him to leave anyway as Bernie wasn't playing him in his right position or to his strengths, and best for us as it frees money to get someone else in.

They've also taken two players on loan today from Burton Albion until January 2nd (see Conf North News thread), so their being cash-strapped has as much veracity as Modest finding the travelling to Hednesford difficult

Oh, they know him well!!

“It’s always worked, fingers crossed. It all depends on who you’re playing against."

Eh, that's a contradiction Camps!
