Thanks Del, and for texting that to me this morning.... hence I passed on the news to my closest HTFC confidantes, and it's fair to say the reaction was unanimous....

The WPL will be down to about 6 teams by next season....
You're not far wrong PP.Perton Pitman wrote:I seem to remember reading something written by Colwyn Bay when the idea of a WPL was becoming a reality (I think it was in their programme) to the effect that those teams in the English pyramid were being bullied into joining the WPL. For those of us who thought we might struggle to get through the season with a squad of 16 (or 17, or 21), be grateful for small mercies...

Let's count our blessings that our club isn't run like this - and remember, they have played in Europe for the last several seasons....Glyn wrote:Latest:Glyn wrote:Llanelli issued with winding-up petitionGlyn wrote:Looks like Llanelli may follow Neath's example of going into Europe on behalf of Wales one year and going out of existence the next...

Is it really worth bothering, with a gate of 144 for their only home league game this season (despite having consistently finished in the top four and qualifying for Europe) - can't find last season's stats, but they won't have been much better

I'm afraid the WPL as a whole is in crisis....
