"Long-term future secure.... no longer dependent on gate receipts...."

Sounds good to me...

Fancy. From one extreme (of the country) to another  ;)

The fact they've had "a few detailed and constructive meetings" rather suggests that the previous manager was a dead man walking.

I imagine Cox has negotiated a better remuneration package at Barrow than the one he "had" at Torquay?

Clubs approved for promotion to Step 4.

I'd have been surprised if Hereford's ground didn't make the grade...

They've got short memories down there!
Presumably being a 'paper club' and hiring a ground is the way to go?!
Let's see how they get on when gates inevitably fall when they start playing at Torquay

I've always thought that if Villa could get 'Birmingham' into their name it could be the start of bigger and better things. :|

In case you missed it, Brett Ormerod has retired at age 39

http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/record-h ... oots-28881

"... famously the only player to score in all four divisions of the pro game..."

Really? :?

Maybe either Lee (who is currently proving himself our top expert) or Perton or our official statistician can confirm if that's true, doesn't sound right to me....

Having exchanged emails, we already have two names which render that supposed stat nonsensical, we suspect they've missed out the word(s) "hat-trick" but even then it's wrong.

I'll let those who came up with the names claim the credit...

Stuart Pearce comes out of retirement for one game (which will cost him a fiver).

Decent (albeit a tad condescending, as usual) publicity if nowt else for non-league football. You wouldn't want to be the opposing right-winger would you...
