....but he also missed a penalty in the shoot-out defeat. Former Pitmen Simon Brown and Jermaine Johnson scored their penalties.

Tom Peers scored twice as Marine went 2-0 up away against FC United. Unfortunately for them, they lost 5-2.

Jack Thomas was handed his professional debut as he started for Mansfield and played 74 minutes of their 1-1 draw against Northampton Town.

The FCUM 6 is doing a very passable impression of Phil Jones there!

Interesting, I looked at the text commentary from the BBC Match report (I'll get me anorak)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31423550

from which all he appeared to have done was to win two free kicks. Clearly you shouldn't believe everything you read on text commentaries

;) :roll: :mrgreen:

Luke Bottomer has found his way to Romulus, where he possibly played his only decent game for us (that I saw anyway).

Just had a look at the match report on their website, the opening line was;
'Roses are red, violets are blue, Marine go two up but lose 5-2' :)
Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb.

Durrell v Briscoe :mrgreen:

From the TUFC forum, all Elliott needs to do is leave a few pies by the side of the pitch and Briscoe will be happy for the whole match!! Image
