It would appear that all remains intact down there, the pitch is still being maintained and used for training, the bar and Social Club is still open for use - so why the urgency to move matches up to Plainmoor?

Maybe these questions will be asked at the Open Meeting!

QUOTE: "During this time, we have developed detailed designs and a business plan in order to be in a position to deliver the stadium in time for the beginning of both the academic year and rugby and football seasons in 2019.
The importance of having a stadium available in August 2019 cannot be overemphasised."
Update... funny old game... I wonder what sort of lease/rental agreement they have with Gulls, who would lose income if Truro did indeed return "home"

Why don't they just merge?

:)

The last paragraph of those comments sums up our level of football in particular

Shawbury Utd - very sad reading, and a warning against losing your home and playing 40 miles away

Their Twitter page also makes interesting reading...

Maybe a bit premature to go on this thread, but it doesn't look too good to me.

Indeed mate. Like all clubs (even up to Premier League level) with a rich owner/benefactor, they run the risk of demise if/when he/she decides not to play any more. I well recall the grand plans they had when he took over (which about coincided with our 1-0 defeat up there in a dead rubber, which I watched with a pal of mine whose lad was playing for them then, and was already predicting it could go pear-shaped...) but they haven't made the progress which was then envisaged, so I'm not surprised to see he's standing down...

My pal's response...

Yep, he thought they would be in the football league now...got bored with it as it has cost him a small fortune!!!
I believe his Dallas business can’t sustain the outlay anymore

Aldershot sent their kids to Bedford tonight for their FA Trophy game due to a very long injury list. They lost 7-0

Callers to TalkSPORT made the point earlier that he is drawing a salary/consultancy fees of £500k pa (and his son also a six-figure sum) while the club struggles. I cannot substantiate this, of course....
