£110k could be "life-changing" for Walsall.

For Manchester United it just covers the cost of the shirts they will exchange after the game...

No local interest unless we want to adopt the winner of Banbury and Coalville.

Home draws for Walsall Wood (if they get through and potentially against Bury as well) and AFC Wulfrunians.

Another long trip beckons for West. The North stretches a long way in non league doesn't it?

Anybody know anything about Cov Phoenix or Biggleswade Utd?

Coventry Sphinx are from Coventry, that’s about it. They used to play in the Midland League but since the latest reorganisation they were moved to the United Counties League which is further away from us.
The only thing I know about Biggleswade United is that their Director of Football is Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, who I think used to cover the Spanish football when it was on Sky Sports and now covers it on Viaplay (who have taken over from Premier Sports). I would think it highly unlikely that he is seen in Biggleswade very often but I’m sure he’ll be milking it all at Wembley if they get to the final.

Cheers, we knew that about Biggleswade but that's shock news about Sphinx!!

Any idea what the standard's like in that league?

Coventry look a decent side according to the table, UCL has always been a good competitive league.

(Just glancing north of the border...)

Yet another example of why the broadcasters should choose David v Goliath cup ties rather than two big teams facing each other..

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/64381316

I watched the first 30 minutes, and then the last five plus added time in which Aberdeen couldn't get out of their own half. Tremendous performance by the part-timers.

After yesterday's results, West Didsbury and Chorlton head to Coventry Sphinx in the last 16 of the Vase.

I gather Walsall Wood's game was abandoned after 80 mins due to a floodlight problem.

And now switched to Walsall Wood.

I had tried to go the previous two attempts before the abandoned fixture, with it only being 20 minutes away. What with floodlight failure, waterlogged and then a frozen pitch it must be one of the most cursed ties ever!

Scandalous!!!
It's 6 at West and virtually all other clubs round here. Is £8 normal in the midlands for step 5?

Hasn't stopped 3 sold out coaches being run.... We fear the Sphinx especially as our best centre half will be in Iceland for his mom's birthday.

Will Perry be on the bench?

I went to a Step 5 match last night and it was only £6 (Darlaston Town v Whitchurch Alport)

£8 well spent. West through to the last 8 of the Vase. Tight game, won on pens for the third time in our run.

Very strange lack of support for Sphinx, around 250 West fans in a crowd of 380. Fantastic atmosphere.

AFC Wulfs are out.

No Perry.

Ascot Utd league form is P20, W18! Should be a cracking atmosphere, expecting a 1,400 sell out.

Vase fever has gripped south Manchester, West's home quarter final v Ascot Utd is a sell out already.

Only midlands interest left is Atherstone.
