He is a clever man. To have fooled so many managers over so many years into thinking he is a footballer is a talent in itself.

A very healthy ex-Hednesford contingent involved in the F.A. Cup at the weekend:
Adam Thomas makes the 3rd round with Stockport..

Jordan Tunnicliffe also into R3 with creepy Crawley...

..as is Remeao Hutton with Stevenage..

.. and Mickey Howard, an unused sub for Marine

No fewer than three for the defeated Moors - Williams, Cranston, Ozzy

Lloyd Kerry also out with Harrogate

George Carline leaves Gloucester

My guess would be he’s off to Chesterfield to meet up with his former Gloucester manager again

I believe it was in the contract agreement that James Rowe (former Gloucester manager, now Chesterfield manager) could only take one player with him and he has already taken Akwasi Asante. But if Carline’s contract has been cancelled he is no longer a Gloucester player and would therefore not fall foul of the stipulation. I wonder if Carline has used the advice of McDonald who was no doubt highly influential in engineering Simeon Maye out of his contract here to get him to Solihull whilst using an appearance for Boldmere to make it look all above board. What do you mean I’m still bitter? :-)

Didn't Carline do the same here, "downed tools" until we allowed him to leave?

I think we still got a small fee for him if I remember correctly, but I think Maye managed to get his contract with us cancelled, played a game for Boldmere and then signed for McDonald at Solihull for nowt.

I heard from a very reliable source close to HTFC that we allowed Carline to leave as a "gentleman's agreement" (something which happened a time or two in that era...)

In common parlance we got stuffed...

...yesterday the Chesterfield manager was denying any link to Carline. People wonder why players get stick at times like this.

My Sunderland-supporting friend sent me this today - Jimmy could be running the whole EFL:

Not bad for an limited centre-back with a questionable ponytail back in the mid-90s
