James Ellison from Tranmere ( ) to Colwyn Bay

http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/saturday ... list-52550

a) What on earth was he doing at Tranmere?!

b) when I searched his name just on this forum to make sure I'd got the right guy, the first result which came up was under "worst-ever Pitmen X1")

Lee tipped me off about this...

https://www.ctfc.com/news/2018/august/c ... ents-signs

".. can also play left-back if necessary..."

I do recall him playing right-back for us, once, at Pics in a MM Cup tie. Waste of talent!

".. he knows his role in the centre of the pitch..."

I rest my case!

More on Ashley Williams:

By the way, try finding the fixtures for this "Nations League" (in which both he and Reece Styche are to play) on the BBC football website.... but don't spend too long....

Been wondering how long it will be before Elliott Durrell returns to the fray, he's already missed Macc's win at Walsall... they're at West Ham in the next round... six weeks so sadly it looks as if he'll miss that one too...

On the mark yesterday, Bohan Dixon... now with Warrington

and Paul Ennis (gosh, I'd forgotten him) with what we'll politely call a consolation goal...

Talking of ex players I went to see Walsall play Blackpool last week end and to my surprise I realised quite quickly that. Curtis Tilt was playing in a back three for Blackpool.
In all fairness he played very well and Walsall struggled to break them down wth the final result a goalless draw.
Sub for Walsall was Ex Rangers Josh Gordon who got the last twenty minutes I wonder if they ever played against each other in a Town v Rangers game?
The previous Tuesday I saw Walsall play Macclesfield and a tall lanky forward called Blissett was up front for the Macs couldn't believe it he was about has good has when he played for us at I think at Cheltenham when we played Gloucester.
I think we lost 5-1.
Villa have been a great club, are still a great club and always will be a great club.

A bit harsh Jackie when he didn't even play

http://www.hednesfordtownfc.com/2013/12 ... sford-town

He scored and made his debut in the defeat at Leamington I think, which may have been a couple of weeks later than the Gloucester game.

I did say I thought it was there although I seem to remember the centre forward whose name appears to be Pearson was making his debut.
