The cross-border talent drain continues!

;)
I know, it must be the lure of losing in the qualifying rounds of the European competitions to teams from Macedonia, Lithuania and San Marino ;)

One of many. Although we did work out who some of them were.

... not that we're divulging any of their names, of course, for fear of scotching any signings.....

Europa League: Connah's Quay 1-3 Shakhtyor Soligorsk

John Disney played the full game and Nathan Woolfe came on as a late substitute.

Nice trip to Belarus next week for the second leg. You don't get that playing for the Pitmen!

You would if the NPL were in charge of the fixtures.

Missed this one the other day

Fair play for him, still earning a living at step two. Thought he was shafted by successive managers here in his second spell and seems to have matured into a better player than the nervy, error-prone youngster he was a couple of years ago

Jordan Graham on target for Mansfield against Derby's first XI last night

Ten of Mansfield's eleven from Saturday's draw got minutes last night - interesting that they found a Championship defence easier to break down than ours :-D

EDIT - just spotted this - eleven years since he was here on loan!

A snippet of a report from Newcastle 1-2 Nantwich at the weekend:

A goal was coming and, moments later, Lawrie had his goal – and what a strike it was. Glover picked up possession and lofted a brilliantly weighted ball over the Newcastle defence and Lawrie thundered home a volley first time into the right hand corner to give Nantwich the lead once more.

Sounds just like us last season!

I'm thinking we should start a "Lee's legends" thread, starting with him and Vinny Mukendi....

I can only watch that from about 4:00 onwards... but the goal celebrations for the equaliser on 4:55 are brilliant

We were never five three up in that match.

0-1, 0-2, 0-3, 1-3, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4, 4-4, 5-4.

One of the best and craziest matches I'm even aware of, let alone watched :-D

Good memories, especially sitting next to my Rangers supporting friend (we're still on speaking terms).
