... my "pal" Ian Danter was commentating on the Trophy Final on TalkSPORT 2 and talked about "the lottery of a penalty shoot-out...."
I'm trying hard to stop myself from PM-ing or tweeting him about that...
While we're on Wembley, fans complaining that the fans singing their tributes to Ray Wilkins couldn't be heard on Saturday because the PA music system is too loud.
I said as much after my only trip to the new Wembley, Kidder v Stevenage Trophy Final in 2007 (it was included in my online review which was on the "Football Grounds Guide" website [and pasted onto this forum] but seems to have dropped off now) - takes them a long time to learn
Meanwhile Tony Incenzo, who seems to be claiming the credit for "Non League Finals Day" - says it was his idea as crowds were falling so low that the games might have been taken away from Wembley - reckons every club which enters both Vase and Trophy should take a coach full of fans.
Erm, hang on, some of those clubs don't have 50 fans. And some which do don't take 50 to away games, so why should 50 of them want to go and have their ears blasted at Wembley (and pay for overpriced food and drink, even if the ticket prices are low) to watch four teams they don't support?
