Re: Clubs in crisis
Couple of clubs in the North East are in a crisis right now
Percy Main Amateurs of the Northern Alliance are in need of help - http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/percymain ... 53081.html
And now Hebburn Town of Division 2 in the Northern League need help - http://www.hebburntownfc.co.uk/2017/02/ ... new-wings/
Sad state of affairs in the game we love so much

Gulls latest, albeit last night's win at Solihull will have helped with the on-field aspect

Shouldn't the local county FA be supporting grass roots football instead of trying to fleece these clubs?

My heart goes out to you Del, especially thinking of all the time and effort you put in during your time at TUFC.Del wrote:Despite new owners - all is not well down here!

Football doesn't seem to involve the supporters any more does it?

While Premier League players earn pornographic salaries, and Virgin are subsidising fans who can afford to watch it to keep their away ticket prices down to £20, real fans of real clubs (include Leyton Orient and many others on the list with Torquay) suffer this sort of nonsense...

They're featuring them on TalkSPORT between 1-4pm tomorrow, a sure sign their problems are big when even a national radio station takes note of something outside the Champions League or the top 7 clubs in the EPL...

Washington FC are needing help or they will resign from the League
http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/foo ... -1-8514336
Norton & Stockton and Seaham Red Star Reserves Gone, West Allotment could go if something doesn't come from the meetings with the NFA, Hebburn Town, Percy Main and Ashbrooke Belford House been in trouble
It's not been looking good for North East Football this season in the lower leagues

Re: Clubs in crisis
Fitting really that my first ever game at Keys Park was to see the Pitmen lose to North Ferriby United - and today my local club TUFC beat North Ferriby United to remain in the National League whilst North Ferriby United remained rooted at the bottom and relegated back into the National League North.

Was a tense atmosphere yesterday at Plainmoor with a bumper crowd. After a shaky 15 minutes, the Gulls settled down and fully deserved the win.Del wrote:Fitting really that my first ever game at Keys Park was to see the Pitmen lose to North Ferriby United - and today my local club TUFC beat North Ferriby United to remain in the National League whilst North Ferriby United remained rooted at the bottom and relegated back into the National League North.
Brilliant scenes at the end, they are far too big a team to have been struggling so long. Let's hope next season sees the Gulls climbing up the National league.

Hartlepool - some interesting facts and stats in here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39792335
It will be interesting to see who declines further and faster, them, Orient or Blackburn....
