Fair enough, I suggested they issue a counter-statement and they've done so.

I suspect that relations with the SS may, however, be terminally damaged....

Bolton fans form ST

Amazed that they didn't already have one/that it's taken them until now!
Bolton Winding-up petition adjourned until February.

Spokesman for their SA (as opposed to the newly-formed ST) on the radio this morning reckoned that, while the current owner has agreed to waive his loan of £1.7m+ if a new owner can be found, he has blocked outward transfers of two players which would have solved the immediate cashflow crisis; also said that the average player salary (whether paid or not) is £20k per month and "wouldn't it have been nice if they'd dipped their hands in their own pockets to pay the backroom staff in December when the club had no cash with which to pay them....?"

Funny old game....

Trading whilst insolvent is illegal. Has anyone told them?

If nothing else, the club is at least talking to its fans/supporters/customers (delete as appropriate   )

Once a club starts talking about "if we go down" you can be pretty certain they're thinking about "when we go down"

We have a similar situation in Birmingham 6; where I understand they're also planning to stay full-time pro, on the field anyway...

Gulls achieved the rare distinction of a mention in Bob Mills' "boon docks" section on Talksport this morning, "how sad..." etc etc - his theory is that they'd be best off out of the Trophy while trying to maintain their place in the National League..... it can distract clubs from their league performances....

All is not rosy behind the scenes at the Club who invented non-league football.

Worcester City may be in crisis.... I'd need a lawyer to explain some of this to me

http://www.worcestercityfc.com/

http://www.worcestercityfc.com/news/upd ... 38486.html

http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/wc ... ref=twtrec

but as I understand it there's a meeting tonight to decide if ownership can be transferred to the ST failing which they might not survive...

Meanwhile 4 fans say they may not watch them at Bromsgrove next season because there are "no pies"

http://files.pitchero.com/clubs/17656/1 ... port-1.pdf

I suppose they've been spoiled by playing at Kidder...

Worcester City board rejected proposal for the club to be run by the ST.

Fans are disgruntled and pessimistic.

Dire issues at TUFC now with the takeover by gaming International still not completed. Forums report that things look bleak with the cash pot empty and nothing likely to change!

It's finally out in the open now!! The takeover is solely dependent on Torbay Council selling off the Plainmoor ground to GI - who can then sell it on for huge profits whilst they build a new all purpose stadium/racetrack on a local rubbish infill site!

No pressure on Torbay Council then as they have a week to decide!!!

If you don't communicate with your fans - speculation takes over and the web supplies the news. Things not looking good!

Should we have a poll on who goes under first, them or Truro or Flyde?

It's not just football then - some very pertinent comment in here, which would certainly relate also to football clubs which over-extend themselves...
