a) So, Yeung already had convictions when passing the fit and proper test

b) Karren Brady was extremely evasive on WM this morning when (admittedly on to talk about something else) she was asked about Blose current predicament

...maybe football management is rocket science after all. The bloke has been there some time to come to this conclusion.

The bloke has found time to have a bit of a pop at Andy Todd which is a bit out of order. Perhaps Liam Watson has been giving him tips on man management

I think he and Tim Sherwood have something in common, they should have looked at the league and form tables before agreeing to take over...

perhaps they should strive to maintain football at the level they operate at currently. Trying to get promotion will only end in tears.

Maybe they could rent out their ground to a neighbouring VCN club to bring in some income

Romulus in trouble by the sound of it. Not surprising considering the size of some of their gates.

As we've said in another context, our manager wishes he had 21 players registered...

Presumably they blu-tack the nameplates to the office doors rather than screwing them in

Parma declare bankrupt

http://www.football-italia.net/clubs/Parma/news

By the way, I searched "Parma" to see if they'd already been mentioned on this thread and their only prior mention on the forum was this:
Del wrote:Soup Update (1st this season!) Image

Today sees the start of the soup season - cheddar & potato soup with a hint of chilli PLUS Parma ham with shallot bread

The marks from the judges:

Soup gets 8.5 - Bread gets 9.0

Interesting articles here

http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/

on the phoenix clubs at Weymouth (with some familiar names on board - and the penultimate para is very interesting) and Hereford

Some interesting Rangers-related stuff in here (if you've got a few minutes to kill!)

Mike Ashley - questions to be answered:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... costs.html

But then see also this:

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/foot ... le-5373051

What it doesn't say in that article, but I heard this morning, is that each of the five Toon loanees was allocated his own flat in Glasgow, but two of them have never even moved in!

It gets better

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32127566

If the FA and/or the SFA had any balls Ashley would be in the dock for this. How on earth can one club loan five players (two of whom have serious illness and four of whom are injured) to another and one of the conditions is that the borrowing club has to pay £500k (which it can ill afford) if they go up notwithstanding those players' absence?!

A very sad state of affairs. The trustees are now faced with finding another club prepared to pay to use the facility. Not an easy task, but perhaps a hobby club will spring up out of nowhere...

Tividale are to be demoted from the NPL as they have failed to achieve ground grading D, which is here :

It would be interesting to know on which criterion/a they've failed. I've been to a fair few grounds which would fail on point 1.

A bit daft as they have done well on the pitch. All that hard work has gone to waste. Another season where the full number of teams don't get relegated.
