I believe these are two great signings for the club but I, like many others, will be sorry to see Chris Shaw and Mark Danks leave us, they have been great lads to have around Keys Park.
Best of luck from us all.

Indebted to a fellow Facebooker for this link to Mark Beesley

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Beesley

- he'll relish the trip to Chester, in particular!

(Reference is made in the article to Liam Blakeman being in great shape, I hear he's a shadow of his former self, will be interesting to see - and I might ask him for some tips!)

I'm sure we all feel the same, sorry to see the two lads go, but their starts have been limited - and something had to be done to sort our recent goal drought, as several people have said on this forum

No better time than tomorrow to bang in more than one.... (and then, with Camps suspended, good luck to Ajay Chohan if he starts at left-back next Tuesday!)

Beesley is a good signing - the kind of poacher we have been seeking for some time in my opinion. More interestingly I wonder what his signing means for Quinny - similar type of player. OK Quinny is contracted until the end of the season (I believe), but will this mark the beginning of the end for him

Shame to see Danksy go, but he will probably admit he isn't as sharp as he was when last with us

Blakeman is an interesting signing - will compete for a place with the likes of Clem and Ozzy so he has his work cut out

.... but he brings experience to our promotion push which those two don't yet have.... and hopefully they can learn from him too..... time will tell but this could be a crucial acquisition

Sorry to see Shaw and Danks leave, both are talented players who have performed well for us, but that is the way of football at our level. There is only a limited budget so if some new faces are required somebody unfortunately has to make way. All the best to them both - except of they happen to be playing against us in the future of course!!

On the positive side of things, glad to see a couple of new faces in the squad. This is not to say that the team isn't continuing to perform well, we are in excellent shape in the league, but I think it is fair to say that we have lost a little impetus of late and a couple of new faces just to freshen up the side may be just the ticket. Both have excellent pedigree and in the case of Beesley, being at the top (almost) of the scoring charts playing for the bottom team is no mean feat. I also think that Blakeman showed some quality in his loan spell last term and with some match fitness under his belt could bring some additional competition and guile to midfield.

All in all, I think that this should prove another great piece of business and I wouldn't be surprised to see at least Beesley in the line-up tomorrow.

The Stafford manager had put 7 days in for Danks, so he may well end up there. I'd imagine Shaw will go back to Eastwood.

Just like to say thanks to Danksie and Shawie both warmed the bench a lot this season but never let us down when required - good luck to both of you wherever you end up.

...would also like to thank both lads for their efforts in their time here and wish them well for the future. Danksy has already had a spell at Strangers I believe so he will be aware of the pitch - mind those hamstrings!

Thanks to both guys for all they have done for us - gave their all whenever called upon.Good luck for the future.
Hoping Beesa starts with a goal or two today and that Liam Blakeman settles in quickly.Welcome lads - enjoy the challenge for promotion, you have certainly arrived at a tough time fixture wise but I am sure we can rise to the challenge.
