at least Hereford got a game, but presumably they have a plethora of northern based players if they were able to step in at late notice to play the game!

I gather Saints are hoping to arrange a 7-a-side PSF with Blackpool, but it's touch and go...

Blackpool and Southampton are both very envious of Hereford...

- a tad ironic that their erstwhile manager couldn't play for them as he's signed for our very good friends at West Auckland... - but wait, there's more...

You mean the heading, where they've mis-spolled "Boyce"?

Re: Clubs in crisis
Perhaps Rangers' stated aim of winning the SPL in 2017 is at odds with a need to cut their cloth accordingly. How on earth a club with their gates can struggle financially is beyond me - unless, ofcourse they are paying the players and management silly wages for the level they are at.

Re: Clubs in crisis
They'll wriggle out of this and play in the SLP at some point, win it (whilst paying unsustainable amounts of money to players) and then go through the same thing again

Hereford granted Safety Certificate for a maximum of 1000.
Southern League rules state grounds must have min capacity of 1950 (why?!)
You couldn't make it up

Utterly ridiculous - so you're supposed to include a player in the squad for a game from which he is suspended?Del wrote:You couldn't write this script!! Lucky or what?

I wonder what they'd have done if Legia had scored either of the penalties they missed in the first leg, or scored another goal on Wednesday, such that the notional 3-0 win for Celtic still wouldn't have been enough to see them through?
I understand Legia plan to appeal, I daresay they have no chance but I wish them every success

Salisbury:

FA Statement on Salisbury:
http://www.thefa.com/news/governance/20 ... sbury-city
It's a bit late to be trying to find an appropriate league for them isn't it?
Elsewhere I hear that the Hereford CVA has failed so they too look likely to die, even though they played their first game in the SLP last weekend

Hereford:
http://mobile.herefordunited.co.uk/news ... 36226.aspx
intend to continue trading whilst insolvent (thus breaking the law) and apparently the Southern League (failing to learn the lessons of Salisbury/Truro/Kettering etc) actually WANT them to as they're such a good draw
Would you buy a season-ticket for a club which might yet go bust any time soon??
