I already knew that Ant Maguire will miss next Monday's game as he is/will be on honeymoon, my reliable sources tell me that the same applies to Alan Nagington*

Strange time for footballers to get married (and it's not to each other, we understand)....

Two sort-of preview threads on their forum at present, both amusing in their own sort-of way!!

Worth registering if you haven't already, might be some good banter before/after the game...

..and for the avoidance of doubt should any of our players or management be reading these threads please be under no illusions as to how important the game next Monday is to all the Pitmen fans. If I were both young enough and good enough I' d walk to Marston Road to pull our shirt on and play against the Strangers. I'd also put sufficient effort in that I would need oxygen by the end and be incapable of walking back to the changing rooms let alone Perton so please give every last ounce of effort next weeks lads

Strangers may have some selection problems for our game, but Street may be fit to play which is bad news and Thompson will probably start now (he impressed at our place). They will probably be missing Fabrice someone or other (who their fans rave about ) following the clobbering he got at the Pics some weeks ago

Stafford's team will look slightly different to the one that played at KP. Striker Liam Shotton has gone back to Kidsgrove and the players who scored the 1st and 4th at KP, Sean Kinselka and Chris Budrys, have both since left for Northwich.
For me, as before, striker Neville Thompson is a class act who caused us plenty of trouble at KP and scored their 3rd will be the man that Chey and Pedro will need to stop.

In trying to establish for definite whether the game is segregated (and if so, where we stand or sit) I've strayed onto the dark side

http://www.staffordrangersfc.co.uk/

Nothing there yet (I will find out and advise), but I love that article about the League's Respect Programme, a candidate for more spolling and grammatical errers in one brief article then I've ever seen

I'm still laughing about that claim that their "ground" is "one of the few non-league grounds that offers substantial covered areas on both sides of the pitch"

Doesn't get out much, does he??

It has been confirmed this morning that there will be ground segregation arrangements in place for the derby match at Stafford Rangers FC next Monday.
The instructions regarding turnstiles etc is on the main club website http://www.hednesfordfc.co.uk/

Thanks Terry, and since you kindly copied me in on the SRFC email, I'll repeat the relevant bit here for those who don't want to click on the link!!

Hednesford fans will have the Lotus side of the ground which is to the left of the Social Club as you approach it, turnstiles E, F, & G, clearly marked ‘away supporters’. Any supporters requiring seats should use turnstile D adjacent to the main reception. Away fans will be allowed into the Social Club before the game through the main entrance and again at half time via the back entrance to the snooker room from the segregated area of the ground as directed by the stewards.

The Strangers forum preview thread continues to amuse

Seems that if it rains some of them won't come.

It has been confirmed this morning that today's game against Stafford Rangers FC is definitely ON.
We will be hoping to see a good travelling contingent to support the Pitmen today on the other side of The Chase!
