MATCH PREVIEWS - Stafford Rangers v HTFC - "El Chasico"

Post by Glyn »

I know it's 17 days away, but we are already anticipating our trip to the tip....

They've started beefing up their squad ready for our visit

All together now: "3-0, and you ****** it up...."

Hope it's more exciting than the borefest earlier this season.

The home game was the first time I've ever left a game early... we need to get revenge for that 4-2 defeat..

We had the highlights running on the big screen before the Race Night last Saturday.

It will never stop being enjoyable

The word on the streets yesterday was that the game will be segregated.

Haven't had official confirmation yet, so we'll have to wait and see whether we get the uncovered end or, erm, the uncovered end...

Ah the good old Marston Road Working Victorian Museum. If we all bring a box of matches we might be able to build them a new stand as a Christmas present.

Seriously though Guys, I've just heard that they have recently found serious major structural defects in all the stands at Marston Road - apparently they are facing the pitch.

Thought I'd better change the title thread to give the game the magnitude it deserves...

I was passing yesterday and was amazed to see the groundsman tending to the pitch, so I took a photo.

Are they allowed to have so many trees that close to the pitch??
I would have thought it was a fire risk!!

Having had a quick look at on the Strangers forum it seems that they were worse than us today so it should make for an interesting encounter next week. Two teams seemingly lacking in confidence and not exactly full of goals
