Last Night's Soup

Post by Perton Pitman »

Now that the winter is here one of my fellow fans has starting bringing soup to the game (home made no less!) and sharing it out with his cohorts.

Last night's was spicy lentil - a bit of a kick to it which made my eyes water, but very nice indeed

Further updates during the season!

I always found Bovril to be the best during the winter months.

I remember one evening at Telford United though when my dad dropped the flask, it cracked and the bovril went dripping down the steps, meaning no hot drink that night. To top the evening off we lost 2-1 after going 1-0 up through, I think, Ian Robinson!

Sorry, this is in direct contravention of the ground regulations which say that only food and drink bought on the premises can be consumed there

In future all spectators will be searched for contraband on their way in, you two can do the men and I'll do the lasses....

Disappointed that none of this was brought to my attention last night via the text updates, especially by Radio Perton Pitman!!

It was nice and warm here - and my glass of Glenlivet 15-year old malt went down a treat!!

Yes, the spicy carrot and red lentil soup was very good but not quite as tasty as last Saturday's leek and potato, in my opinion.

Matlock Town 1-2 Pitmen Sweet, after the Trophy defeat there recently.

Soup of the night was a Cheshire Cheese and Vegetable, which was very nice. Pity I was the only one partaking, but there you go. :-D
It took me years to understand "here's" from "hears", so their you go!

Was going to put this on the other thread but it was locked by the Forum Police.
The Soup Dragon has indicated to me that he will be absent tomorrow so as opposed to two soups, it'll be no soups.
I might bring some extra strong mints though.
