Kyle Patterson's goal just on...

I understand I'm going to have my first sighting of G*ry S*tt*n since Burton shortly, too - I think I'll go in the other room and make a coffee..

Decent enough draw for Stour, not quite the glamour tie that a home draw v either of the Sheffield clubs would have been, but gives them a chance of progressing to the 3rd Round.... if.....

Can't find a link, but they're saying on talkSPORT this afternoon that Corby manager Graham Drury helped himself to three rolls of adhesive tape from the home dugout after their defeat at Bristol Rovers on Saturday and is quoted as saying "At non-league level we'll take anything we can get..."

Times is hard!

(Oh, and Paul Hawksbee keeps asking if Corby pay a pressing game.... )

LOL that some of the Stourbridge "regulars" are whingeing that 1100 tickets on general sale for their big game tomorrow night wasn't enough for them to get one

There's always one, or several, isn't/aren't there!!

They had over 600 at their game against Frome on Saturday - I presume that those in attendance could have got a ticket at the same time (maybe that was the deal). Real fans would have been there, as it is it is probably the hangers on who are moaning

I think the deal was that on Saturday they got a voucher to entitle them to go and buy a ticket on Sunday when the club would have more resources to cope with ticket sales; also entitled to tickets were those who travelled on the club's official coaches to Plymouth, and club members (£10pa) - so yes, if you're any sort of a proper Stourbridge fan, you had every chance of getting a ticket.

But there will always be moaners..... trust me.....

(...among whom are those suggesting the game should have been switched to a bigger ground, eg Walsall, thus displaying their complete ignorance of competition rules....)

It's been raining hard locally since 0530, and the temporary stand has no roof.... enjoy!!

My man on the spot tells me the faces of the Plymouth players as they took their first look at the War Memorial Ground were a picture!!

I've suggested they pack them off to the Bull and Bladder for a pre-match meal of faggits 'n' pays and a few pints of Bathams to ensure Stour progress to the next round.....

The Express & Star would have you believe that, having disposed of Plymouth last night, Stourbridge are playing Stevenage in the 2nd Round "next Saturday"

Never believe anything you read....

Some interesting (crows) s lately

Conclusion:

I think we'd better concentrate on the FA Cup, rather than the Birmingham Senior Cup (or indeed the Aldershot Senior Cup) next season....
