Rumour has it on Facebook that CHRIS SHAW is the new manager of Eastwood Town.

Just on SSN, Tyrone Barnett is one of four Peterborough players fined and placed on the transfer list for a breach of Club discipline.

Fascinating - though of course only the views of a small minority of Posh fans, seems Tyrone is nowehere near as popular as he was at his three previous clubs

Glad we don't have stuff like that at HTFC, with all our players being teetotal and in bed by 9pm every night....

A real shame for Ty as he's worked hard to get to this level. Interesting that the alleged offence is drinking, smoking and clubbing (presumably breaking a curfew). Most clubs would fine the players and then move on, but Posh are taking a really hard stance which is at odds with what clubs do with what they would be perceive to be indispensible players.

Interesting to see what City do with Mario after his latest 'offence'!!

Interesting comment from experienced Journalist Chris Davies on talkSPORT this morning, the club expects its fans to remain loyal and spend their money supporting the team but then lays off several of their favourite (or, maybe, not so) players without giving a proper explanation why. There may be legal reasons why they can't, but it's still not very good...

Saw Drapes yesterday at Inverness airport, flying back to Birmingham. He's doing well at Caley Thistle by all accounts, and has impressed their fans with his typically bustling style. He's got an ankle injury at the moment, otherwise he's been an ever-present for them this term

Clemmo in the news...

http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/inde ... &nid=89309

In a social media exchange the other day (I think it was Twitter) Clemmo commented that he's "just started playing"...

We were talking about him on Sunday - maybe asking a lot for him to get an immediate regular starting berth two leagues higher, but I'm intrigued that Cox has just decided he "wanted to take a look at him" - I could have told him two years ago the lad is good enough for BSP football, at least...

Agreed, and when Louis pinged a magnificent through ball from which we scored in the League Cup Final 2nd leg v Hemel and I said as much he was the gentleman I was inadvertently addressing...

A manager's job at the age of 28 - he's got some balls taking over that job with the financial restraints - more a case of youthful enthusiasm I'm sure than anything else. You would think from the type of character he was on the pitch though that he might do well as a manager and would certainly have the respect of the players, let's hope he does well.
Our old boys don't seem to mind taking on difficult jobs as Hucknall have also had well documented financial difficulties with a very tight budget but that hasn't stopped Gary Sucharewycz taking the top job there either - best of luck to the old boys I say!

As we've already beaten them twice this season I'm happy to wish Chris every success, indeed I don't mind if they win every game from now on...

Goalless draw on debut...

http://evostikleague.pitchero.com/results.php
Scored today in their 4-0 win over Harrogate Railway.
Also on the mark (see what I did there :)) were Nick Wellecomme, hat-trick for Chasepound against Kidsgrove, Andy Bell, hat-trick for Bamber Bridge against Farsley, Jamie Barratt scored for Gresley against Loughborough and Nicky Campbell got a last minute equaliser for Romulus, although we'll see him next Sunday.
Bees scored more goals in four minutes for Warrington today than in his entire Hednesford career - doh!

http://evostikleague.pitchero.com/results.php

Usual plethora of ex-HTFC scorers elsewhere too, including Phil Clarke with a rare goal...

Already a Pitmen legend, Ash Williams has just gone up even further in my estimation....

I don't think there'll be a shortage of fellow pros (and especially defenders) having a whip-round to help pay his fine...
