I think we need a squad of 18 players in order to mount a serious challenge for the title. We may end up having a run in one of the FA competitions (getting to the 3Q round of the FA Cup may entail 5 games). Part of the challenge will be keeping everyone happy, but it does seem that our strategy is to recruit from Step 2 and pinch Leek's best two players.
We will get injuries etc but all of this is very intriguing

Endall would fit in some other teams squad for me considering the calibre of the squad we're building.

Jervis will be wide or impact player from the bench.

I think the recruitment policy so far is the correct one because if promotions come you could have a settled squad for two or three seasons with the minimum off tweaking

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when the season starts. We are filling the squad with players who have joined us from one, two and three levels above us. Talent can only take you so far. You also need team spirit and a lot of effort. We know they’re all there for the money, time will tell whether they are (or who is) there just for the money.

Agreed - we will look like a right load of muppets if we fail to get promoted. Money gives you a great chance, but players need the hunger to win so I'm hoping we've picked players with the correct attitude.

I'm glad we have signed a local player. It's fine bringing in loads of imports from outside the area, but I'd much rather build a quality squad with local players. It feels more sustainable and 'right'.

Simeon Maye is a great player to have at this level, I’ll try to forget what he did to us last time he was here…

Looks like the plan is to keep the ball firmly in the opponent's half ;)

Looking at the list of players as it stands we obviously have now have the basis of a first team. Given the make up.of the squad, I would think we have another 3 or 4 spots to fill.

At our level I always think it's worth leaving a space or two until the season starts. You never know which of your more ambitious targets may find themselves without a deal and hence will be willing to come on board.
Grundle your parts - your own parts, not anybody elses!! It goes in this fashion.....

I'm sure we'll be making full use of the footballing powerhouse that is the Trialist family during the course of the pre-season friendlies and will end up signing at least one or two of them.

I'm not so sure about that this year, I think Kingy knows exactly who he wants and what he needs and the rest of the make up of the squad, possibly another 6 or 7 players, have already been approached, signed or targeted.

...which is fine, but we don't have many friendlies this year!
